Boating Hats
It would take a lot for guys nowadays to wear something like this. Yet, when this was painted, in 1877 by Gustave Caillebotte, what surprised people was not the hats – with fluttering ribbons – but the fact that you could not see the rowers faces. In any case, it’s very cool. A cross between a bowler and a baseball-cap. Maybe a solution for skimpy fedora tedium?
